If you’re a nonprofit leader, you know the drill: Training your volunteers, staff, board members, and clients, all while ensuring your organization is compliant with the latest, ever-evolving regulations is tough!
Of course, solid training is critical to every organization’s mission. But budgets are tight and resources are stretched like never before… So how do you ensure your team has the skills they need to do the job and actually make a difference? This is exactly the challenge our guest, Chris Allan, faced when he was looking to equip staff and volunteers with the HIV awareness training they’d need to effectively help people in the community. His solution? A successful hybrid learning program powered by OWL (Open World Learning) – a free online platform designed to remove barriers to learning for nonprofits in need. The project was so successful that Chris is now working with OWL to launch a nation-wide training program for staff and volunteers working at food banks.
Chris' story shows how impactful and essential online learning is, especially for organizations that lack the resources (or budget) to run their own platform.
